2000 HP on a Lambo. Sounds like a fairytale, that’s what we thought too. Which is why, if you haven’t heard of Underground Racing, you really should. They’re a group known for their twin-turbo conversions. The tuning company specializes in making Lamborghinis and Audi R8s ridiculously fast. They’ve been known to fit turbos onto exotics for quite some time now, but nothing like this Lambo project.
The Company was the first to strap twin-turbos to the $500,000 Lambo Aventador SVJ. This puts the Lambo at over 2000HP!
It’s a good thing they’re only considering building only 900 of these. The horsepower wasn’t the only addition, you’ve got titanium induction and exhaust tubing as well. They’ve also fit the car with a JRR MoTeC M1 ECU featuring Underground Racing’s proprietary Aventador firmware to handle all the tuning requirements. The engine is built with billet connecting rods and custom forged pistons. The gearbox has also been strengthened. The front and rear differentials are now billet items to withstand the extra strain on the car.
The original Lambo is a beast, outputting 759 HP and 537 lb-ft of torque. But the modifications make it a monster, approaching the 2000 HP figure and having passengers holding to their seats after a launch start. This monster runs on race fuel, making a pit stop a little tougher. It also shoots flames during a gear change, making you likely to strike a wandering eye. Underground Racing outdid themselves with this one, nothing gets our attention like a 2000 HP Lambo.
