The M5 is considered one of the most elegant cars in the world. Sleek looks, beautiful finish, and amazing power to top it all off. You’d almost never think of modifying it. But Ramon Performance challenged those views on the M5 competition, and somehow…made it better.
The M5 competition they built has stage 2+ mods. This pushes the car from the stock 617 HP to 900 HP. It makes you drop your jaw if you love horsepower. The engine is a 4.4L V8 Twin Turbo. Yet, with the new mods added, the car rips a 0-60 MPH in just 2.4 seconds! The previous (pre-modded) figure is 3.1 seconds, which was already insanely fast. With performance cars, it’s quite difficult to have a car pushing 3.1 seconds. So the tuning company accomplished great feats by getting a sub-three number.
You can try to dig into the modifications that they’ve added, and these are the ones we know of so far (information isn’t cleanly listed). The car has custom intakes, an Akrapovic exhaust system, and a carbon fibre hood for weight reduction.
Don’t get us started on how the car sounds, it’s beautiful. You can hear the turbo spool hard and it’s an amazing experience. The exhaust itself also makes for a captivating listen.
If you’ve ever wondered why the car is so fast off-the-line, it’s because of its ability to switch between all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive. With basically 900HP instantly hitting the ground, its no wonder that this car can compete even against the Bugatti Chiron. Yes, you read that right.
